Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a dynamic service professional to carry out gears and gearbox installation, commissioning, overhauling, troubleshooting, and other activities related to presales field work at domestic and global sites as per contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study the scope of work, technical documents, and drawings to generate service orders in SAP and coordinate with customers for manpower and tool requirements during site visits.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to identify potential problem areas and finalize a way forward, conducting required checks and trials at the site.
  • During service and troubleshooting, follow established procedures and guidelines based on equipment configuration and application, and perform alignment of drive and driven equipment during installation and commissioning.
  • Generate reports and collect information in the prescribed format pertaining to other make gears and gearboxes during site visits and collect contact details of nearby sites with gearbox installations.
  • Generate business leads and service/spare enquiries for existing and other make gearboxes.
  • Track site shutdowns.
  • Sign minutes of meeting (MOM) and record assembly parameters with alignment readings.
  • Generate service reports and invoices.

  • Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting on time.
  • Customer satisfaction with service rendered.
  • Root cause and process improvement implementation.
  • Shutdown tracking and market information numbers.
  • Number of enquiries generated.

  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in Hindi is a must.
  • Inter-personal and communication skills.

  • Good technical and troubleshooting knowledge.

  • Good resource management and practical creativity.
Job Specifications/Profile
  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical.
  • 2-3 years of experience in handling rotary equipment (pump, blower, turbine, and compressors) in capital goods industry.
  • Ready to travel for long durations on short notice.
  • Conversant with MS-Office and SAP.
