Job Overview:

The role of a Deputy Manager Finance is to support financial operations, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and provide insightful analysis to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Financial Reporting:
    • Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including payment, receipt, and cash flow for respective Business Units (BU)
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly financial close
    • Compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and enforce company accounting policies, practices, and internal controls
  • Financial Planning & Analysis Support:
    • Support specific BU with finance operational support
    • Develop and manage financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability for the specific BU
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and initiatives
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and vendors

Requirements:

  • Start-up experience in scaling up a start-up through funding efforts preferred
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and impeccable integrity
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, accounting, and reporting software
  • Advanced expertise in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • High-energy with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant/Certified Management Accountant/Inter qualification
  • Experience: 1-3+ years PQE
  • Knowledge of Nodal Account, Payment Gateway Reconciliations, and E-Commerce transactions preferred
