Job Title: Capital Cost Estimator

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present comprehensive capital cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Develop pricing documents and instructions to tenderers, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with contractors to negotiate prices, evaluate tenders, and determine claim amounts.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of building economics and contract management principles to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong educational background in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent field, with 5-10 years' experience.
  • Proven expertise in QS & cost management processes, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Chartered status under a recognized organization such as RICS, SCSI, AIQS, NZIQS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure, making sound decisions in complex situations.
