Enterprise Risk Management Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective risk management framework across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and document control weaknesses and deficiencies; and develop recommendations for risk mitigation and improvement.
  • Maintain Risk Registers (RCSA) and conduct regular reviews of current business processes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Update the Enterprise Risk Policy to reflect changing regulatory and strategic scenarios, ensuring it remains relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with Principal Risk Owners to identify key risks and mitigating controls within their business units, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated risk reporting framework to focus attention on critical risks, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and the Board, providing actionable insights and recommendations to inform decision-making.

Educational Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in finance, management, or risk management from a reputable institution is required. Certifications such as FRM, CFA, CBCP are highly valued.

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in risk management.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess complex risks.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Functional Competencies:

  • Principles of risk management, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Risk and governance standards, such as COSO framework and Basel Corporate Governance Principles.
  • Control frameworks and effectiveness of controls embedded within business processes.
