Job Opportunity: Business Unit Head – Solar EPC

The Business Unit Head – Solar EPC will lead the solar energy project implementation team, overseeing all activities from planning to completion. This role is focused on ensuring projects are delivered within set timeframes, budgets, and quality parameters.

This position focuses on strategic leadership, where you will manage the solar energy business unit in alignment with company objectives. You will prepare annual operational plans, budget, and resource allocation for all solar energy projects.

You will be responsible for tendering and estimation, preparing, reviewing, and submitting tenders and bids for solar energy projects. Additionally, you will evaluate technical and commercial feasibility before participating in tenders.

  • Project Execution & Delivery
    • Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards during project execution.
    • Coordinate with design, procurement, construction, and quality teams for smooth project execution.
  • Resource & Vendor Management
    • Approve manpower deployment plans for all sites.
    • Oversee vendor evaluation, selection, and ongoing performance monitoring.

In this role, you will also be responsible for resource management, including deploying staff to sites and managing vendors. You will need to ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental standards. Regular site visits, quality audits, and risk assessments will be conducted to ensure that projects are executed safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering (MBA preferred). The candidate should have 12-18 years of experience in solar EPC, with at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role. A track record of successfully delivering multiple large-scale EPC projects is required.
