Purchasing Executive Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Purchase Manager who will oversee the entire procurement process for electrical items, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of products that meet technical specifications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong vendor management skills, with experience in identifying, evaluating, and finalizing vendors for electrical products. They will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to guarantee purchases align with project requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.).
  • Floating RFQs, preparing price comparison sheets, and negotiating for optimal pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Reviewing and interpreting SLDs and BOQs to ensure purchases match project needs.
  • Maintaining and updating vendor lists, developing new suppliers, and conducting vendor audits for quality assurance.
  • Collaborating with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–4 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
