Job Title

Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team at Ionixx Technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to create and execute automated tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts using Selenium (WebDriver).
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for web applications and APIs.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to identify test scenarios and ensure complete coverage.
  • Develop and execute test automation frameworks that are reusable and easily maintainable.
  • Review and analyze system specifications to develop and implement efficient test strategies.
  • Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct code reviews and guide other QA team members on best practices for automation.
  • Monitor and maintain automation test execution and report defects, ensuring proper triage, tracking, and resolution.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies, and evaluate new technologies for continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in software automation testing, with a strong focus on Selenium.
  • Strong proficiency with Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python/C# (or similar programming languages).
  • Experience with automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab for integrating automated tests.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Experience with RESTful API automation testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser testing and tools like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
  • Hand-on experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with BDD (behavior-driven development) and tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.
  • Experience working with databases and SQL queries for test validation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
