DB2 Database Administration Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a DB2 Database Administrator where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced DB2 Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of DB2 system tools, catalog reorgs, query monitor, and other related technologies.

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance DB2 databases
  • Develop and execute DDL/DML scripts to create new objects, modify existing structures, and grant/revoke privileges
  • Work with development teams to understand application environments and stored procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent knowledge of DB2 Subsystem Setup in Sysplex distributor DDF, RRSAF, Data Sharing Group concepts, and Cross Coupling Facility
  • Hands-on experience with DB2 Admin Tool, Log Analysis Tool, Object Comparison Tool, Query Monitor Tool, Automation Tool HPU, IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for DB2 Performance Expert on z OS
  • Good understanding of Catalog and Directory, and ability to write, tune, and understand performance implications of DB2 SQL
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
