Automation Tester - Guidewire Expert

About the role:

This is a key position for a skilled automation tester to join our QA team. We are seeking an expert in GTUI (Guidewire Test UI) Automation Framework with hands-on experience in automating tests for Guidewire applications such as Policy Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using GTUI Framework for Guidewire applications.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA leads to understand functional and technical requirements.
  • Ensure test coverage for end-to-end workflows across Guidewire modules.
  • Execute automated regression and smoke tests as part of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify and document defects clearly and follow through to resolution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Enhance the GTUI automation framework with best practices and reusable components.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior automation testers on the team.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in QA Automation with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with GTUI (Guidewire Test UI).
  • Strong understanding of Guidewire Suite: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter.
  • Proficient in Java programming and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Experience with TestNG, Maven/Gradle, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with REST API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  • Knowledge of insurance business processes in the P&C (Property and Casualty) domain.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
