Job Title: Freelance Data Modeler

This is a highly skilled position that requires expertise in data modeling, specifically in cloud and on-premises platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL Data Warehouses, Databricks Delta Lakehouse, and other Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) databases.

The selected individual will be responsible for designing, governing, and implementing conceptual, logical, and physical data models across modern cloud platforms. This includes developing reusable, cloud-centric data models and supporting data mapping and integration efforts.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or IDM/ARDM.
  • Experience in domain-specific data modeling for Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Supplier, and Customer domains.
  • Hands-on expertise with at least one MPP database technology such as Databricks Lakehouse, Redshift, Synapse, Teradata, or Snowflake.
  • Experience with GitHub or other version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and glossaries.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and DataOps methodologies.
  • Understanding of SAP data models including HANA, S/4HANA, Retail, and third-party retail data like IRI, Nielsen.
