Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer to join our team in Navi Mumbai. This full-time on-site position involves ensuring quality by developing and implementing quality control and assurance processes and procedures, conducting quality audits, performing inspections, and identifying quality issues for continuous improvement.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling Test Plans Independently
  • Document Control (GAD, ITP, procedure, ISO documentation, inspection reports, NCR-CAPA)
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance metrics
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to meet quality specifications
  • Collaborating with operations teams to develop and implement quality controls and improvements
  • Ensuring workflows, processes, and products comply with relevant safety regulations
  • Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
  • Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes
  • Monitoring incoming, process, and final inspection activities
  • Verifying raw material and inspecting bought-out components
  • Training quality and production personnel to improve quality and reduce rejection
  • Maintaining rejection and rework records
  • 5'S monitoring at the department

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Mechanical engineering or Diploma with adequate experience, and 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance/control, or a similar role. You should have knowledge of Codes (ASTM SEC II Part A & B, Sec IX, Sec V, Sec VII) and ISO knowledge, as well as familiarity with 7 QC tools. Experience in Oil & Gas processes is preferred, but not essential.

Key qualifications and skill set include:

  • Degree in Mechanical engineering or Diploma with adequate experience
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance/control, or a similar role
  • Knowledge of Codes (ASTM SEC II Part A & B, Sec IX, Sec V, Sec VII)
  • ISO knowledge
  • Familiarity with 7 QC tools
  • Teamwork, interpersonal skills, good written and oral communication, and attention to detail
  • Technical understanding, design skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Quality control, quality assurance, and inspection skills
  • Experience in quality auditing and quality management
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
