Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

Overview:

The organization seeks a seasoned data governance specialist to lead its data intelligence platform and drive enterprise-wide governance initiatives.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to define and scale data governance practices, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and influence data culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and administer data governance across the enterprise.
  • Design and configure data governance frameworks, including domains, assets, workflows, and roles.
  • Build and optimize custom workflows using BPMN and Workflow Designer.
  • Integrate data governance platforms via APIs/connectors.
  • Partner with data owners, stewards, and leadership to enforce governance policies and data stewardship models.
  • Establish frameworks for data cataloging, lineage, metadata, and quality management.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and best practices to business and technical teams.
  • Act as the data governance SME and evangelist, promoting adoption and governance maturity across the organization.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with data governance platforms, including configuration, workflow design, and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
  • Expertise with data governance APIs, BPMN, and scripting.
  • Experience with data catalog, business glossary, and lineage.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
