Software Development Manager Role Overview

This is an opportunity to take on a leadership position in our software development team, overseeing multiple projects and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage project management expertise to oversee multiple application development projects, encompassing all phases of the systems development and implementation process.
  • Apply analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support skills for client area application systems within diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technology, tools, etc.
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop technology solutions that significantly impact revenue or costs, leading the development and implementation of multiple application systems, and identifying resource requirements to ensure best practice development techniques.
  • Manage multiple development teams and contribute to achieving multiple team objectives.
Requirements:
  • Possess an advanced degree in computer science/data engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Hold 18+ years of experience in systems analysis and program development with supervisory, management, and administrative experience required.
  • Have hands-on experience with Big Data, Cloud, and Data transformation tools, with experience in the securities or financial services industry being a plus.
  • Demonstrate thorough hands-on experience in designing high-performance systems with detailed implementation of SDLC coupled with testing and DevOps.
  • Be a full-stack developer with experience in modern GUI development and Java programming, possessing knowledge of front-end and backend development coding languages (Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript).
  • Show comfort with the following technology stack, tools, and processes: Core Java, JAVA 11 and above, Object Oriented Programming concepts, Spring, Spring boot, hibernate, RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, Gitlab, Docker, CI/CD, S3, Proficient at Azure Cloud, and have a good understanding of cloud components and deployment architectures.
