Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Business Insights Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex data to provide actionable insights.

About the Role
  • This role is responsible for providing advanced analytics support across the organization, generating insights to expose them for consumption via reporting platforms and strategy implementation.
  • The successful candidate will enable business user self-service through the creation of Management Information System (MIS) capabilities.
  • Responsibilities include systematically identifying out-of-pattern activities in a timely manner and addressing information gaps by providing insightful analytics.
  • The analyst will work independently, assuming responsibility for the development, validation, and implementation of projects.
  • Participation on global teams evaluating processes and making suggestions for process and system improvements is also required.
Critical Factors to Success
  • The ability to ensure timely and accurate MIS based on customer requirements is critical.
  • Centrally managing MIS and key operational metrics and addressing functional data needs across operations and support teams is also essential.
  • Providing an analytical and decision-support framework and addressing information gaps through insightful analytics and developing lead indicators is a key aspect of this role.
  • The successful candidate must build collaborative relationships across groups and participate on global teams evaluating processes and making suggestions for process and system improvements.
  • Prioritizing enterprise thinking, connecting the roles' agenda to enterprise priorities, and balancing the needs of customers, partners, colleagues, and shareholders is also necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Preferably, the candidate should have at least 2 years of experience, with at least 1 year in Quantitative Business Analysis/Data Science, handling large datasets.

  • A post-graduate degree in a quantitative field will be an added advantage.
Functional Skills/Capabilities
  • Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills and be a conceptual and innovative thinker.
  • Project management skills and the ability to identify and translate business information needs into insights and information cubes for ease of consumption in reporting and analytics are essential.
  • Proven thought leadership, strong communication, relationship management skills are required.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, flexibility, and adaptability to work within tight deadlines and changing priorities are necessary.
  • Data presentation and visualization skills are also required.
Technical Skills/Capabilities
  • Excellent programming skills on Hive/SQL/Big Query are essential, with a good understanding of Big Data ecosystems.
  • Exposure to visualization using Business Intelligence software like Tableau or Qlikview will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of Platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Project is required.
