Data Centre Linux Engineer

We are seeking skilled professionals to expand our AWS Cloud offerings by contributing their expertise in Data Centre Linux & HW engineering.

  • Maintaining system reliability involves efficiently resolving trouble tickets, which includes:
    • Acting as the escalation point and technical troubleshooter for all Systems and Network hardware problems
    • Investigating Linux server issues
    • Troubleshooting XEN service virtualization issues
  • Troubleshooting technical issues on various platforms, including Systems, Networking, Power/Mechanical
  • Remediating physical layer outages, both Systems & Network
  • Remediating or recovering physical power issues on racks
  • Participating in Data Center power & cooling events
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Minimum 1 year of computer networking experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience effectively dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
  • Minimum 1 year of data center experience
  • Experience in Network Equipment Installation and Configuration
