Job Overview: Emergency Department Lead

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management to the Emergency Department, ensuring timely and quality medical care for all emergency cases.

  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to improve patient flow and critical care protocols.
  • Oversee triaging, patient referrals, and transfers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of emergency physicians, medical officers, nurses, and paramedics.
  • Ensure 24x7 preparedness for trauma, medical, surgical, and disaster emergencies.
  • Monitor departmental performance, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in handling critical emergencies, trauma care, and acute medical situations. They should possess excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Required qualifications include:

  • MD in Emergency Medicine (preferred) / General Medicine / Anesthesia (mandatory).
  • Minimum 10–12 years of post-MD clinical experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role in a tertiary care hospital.

  • Knowledge of emergency medicine and critical care principles.

Additional requirements include:

  • Qualification: MD in Emergency Medicine (preferred) / General Medicine / Anesthesia (mandatory).
  • Experience: Minimum 10–12 years of post-MD clinical experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role in a tertiary care hospital.
