Project Cost Control Specialist

The successful candidate will lead a project cost control initiative to ensure overall capital expenditures stay within approved budgets and management reporting on project progress indicates cost variance, actual spent, and forecasted cash flow.

This role requires collaboration with teams for financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong project accounting and capitalization skills, including proper accounting of element-wise and stream-wise project costs, common cost allocation, and finalization of transfer pricing for inter-company transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Accounting and Capitalisation: Ensuring accurate and timely recording of project costs, identifying areas for cost reduction, and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Project Financing: Partnering with treasury and banking teams to secure optimized funding solutions, including ECA and debt financing.
  • Inventory Management: Continuously monitoring project inventory levels, collaborating with PMC's/sub-contractors, and performing inventory reconciliations.
  • Incentive Optimisation: Analyzing and optimizing state incentives, representing the organization in government interactions, and filing necessary documents and information.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Identifying and assessing financial risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory compliance.
  • Policies, Processes and Procedures: Creating and implementing standard policies, processes, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives, and monitoring their adherence.
  • People Management: Mentoring and developing team members to take on larger responsibilities and perform their roles efficiently.
