Job Overview

The role of a Logistics Operations Consultant is to serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT departments. This position involves daily monitoring and issue resolution, providing Oracle solutions for business requirements, and ensuring seamless integration with Oracle EBS system.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, analyze functional requirements, and provide solutions applying industry best practices.

The ideal candidate should have experience in Oracle Apps, specifically Oracle R12 WMS, MSCA, and Inventory modules. A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in logistics operations and implementation cycles is required. Knowledge of warehouse management, barcoding, and shop floor transactions is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle tickets and application support for end-users.
  • Analyze and resolve issues, escalating to development team or Oracle support as needed.
  • Prepare MD050/MD060 documents, test cases, and test data.
  • Cordination with leads/managers/users for release sign-off.
  • Train end-users and prepare training materials.
  • Coordination with other teams for issue resolutions.
  • Daily production support, including incident management and problem management.
  • 24 x 5 on-call assistance and weekend support as needed.
  • Month-end, Quarter-end, and year-end assistance.
  • Subject matter expert for system management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and alerts.
  • Review requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for assigned systems.
  • Meet Service Level Agreements for Incident and Problem Management.
Requirements
  • Oracle Apps experience (R12 WMS, MSCA, Inventory).
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in logistics operations and implementation cycles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management, barcoding, and shop floor transactions.
  • Basic understanding of PL/SQL and customization of MSCA screens and WMS rules.
