System Administrator Role Summary

  • Administer and configure enterprise messaging infrastructure with MQ software on Linux platforms.">
  • Implement high availability clustering, security configuration, and monitoring solutions for MQ environments.">
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.">

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Work with IBM vendor support teams to troubleshoot and resolve MQ-related issues and bugs.">
  3. Setup and manage MQ object configurations, cluster configurations, and certificate management.">
  4. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Shell scripting, or Ansible for MQ installation, upgrades, and monitoring.">
  5. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to queries, resolving issues promptly, and communicating effectively.">
  6. Participate in disaster recovery exercises and ensure business continuity through efficient problem-solving skills.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration with a focus on messaging systems.">
  • Excellent knowledge of MQ 8x and 9x software, as well as SSL certificates and encryption methods.">
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes including change management, incident management, problem management, and release management.">
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.">
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and version control tools like Bitbucket.">

  • Familiarity with TIBCO products, EMS, ActiveMQ, Kafka, and Java development.">
  • Knowledge of Unix-like operating systems and shell scripting is an added advantage.">
