Travel Technology Leader

About this role:

We are seeking a seasoned software professional to lead the development of our next-generation travel technology platform. As a Technical Architect, you will design and oversee the creation of scalable, high-performance web applications that address complex business challenges in the travel industry.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and lead the development of full-stack web applications using Python (Django/Flask) backend and React frontend technologies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python with Django, Flask, and AIOHTTP.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and asynchronous services, ensuring seamless integration with external travel systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Implement unit and integration tests, supporting CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Python, particularly Django and Flask frameworks.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing architectures for large-scale web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in React.js for building interactive, high-performance frontends.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs.
  • Strong backend skills: RESTful API design, database modeling (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in agile development and DevOps practices.
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns, microservices, event-driven architectures.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
