A movement-driven Email Marketing Specialist is sought to enhance engagement with our growing community.
This position combines email marketing expertise with technical skills to build high-performing campaigns and maintain a robust technical backbone.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain multiple websites - update content, publish blogs, events, and multimedia, and introduce new features as needed.
- Handle web hosting and domain management for existing and new projects.
- Improve SEO rankings through regular audits, keyword optimization, and analytics tracking.
- Ensure websites remain fast, user-friendly, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Manage Google Workspace across all domains (email setup, permissions, troubleshooting).
- Email Campaign Management:
- Design, build, and execute campaigns via Mailchimp, Mailerlite, or similar platforms.
- Set up automated journeys and sequences (e.g. onboarding series, re-engagement flows, pledge follow-ups).
- Draft and edit subject lines, preview text, and body copy in collaboration with content leads.
- Test, monitor, and continuously optimize campaigns for better open, click, and conversion rates.
- Audience Segmentation & Analytics:
- Segment lists by interest, behavior, and engagement to ensure targeted outreach.
- Maintain clean, updated supporter databases.
- Track and report campaign performance using platform dashboards, Google Analytics, and UTM parameters.
- Translate data insights into recommendations for improved engagement.
- Deliverability & Technical Setup:
- Ensure compliance with email regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
- Optimize deliverability through authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), list hygiene, and sender reputation best practices.
- Work with technical consultants when advanced troubleshooting or integrations are needed.
- Strategy & Collaboration:
- Align email strategies with broader campaign objectives (petitions, calls-to-action, fundraising, pledge journeys).
- Support integration of email into multi-channel campaigns (social, WhatsApp, website, events).
- Collaborate with communications and campaign teams to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
Requirements:
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in email marketing or CRM communications, preferably in nonprofits or campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience in website management, SEO optimization, and Google Workspace administration.
- Proficiency with Mailchimp, Mailerlite, ConvertKit, or similar tools.
- Strong grasp of segmentation, automation, analytics, and deliverability best practices.
- Ability to draft clear, compelling copy in collaboration with content creators.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and UTM tracking for conversions.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and data privacy regulations.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and comfort with remote collaboration.
