We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities efficiently, identifying reliable vendors, negotiating cost-effective purchases, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and services required for smooth manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Management, with 2-5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup. Knowledge of local and international sourcing is preferred.

This is a key role that requires strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will also be familiar with ERP systems and MS Office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machinery spares, consumables, and services.
  • Obtain quotations, compare price, quality, and delivery terms, and finalize purchase orders.
  • Develop alternate sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and payment conditions.
  • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies and approvals.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production schedule.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the stores/warehouse for replenishment.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Benchmark prices and identify opportunities for bulk/long-term contracts.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records (POs, invoices, GRNs, contracts).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with finance for vendor payments and reconciliations.
