Application Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist to join our team. As an Application Specialist, you will be responsible for handling customer application packaging requirements as a single point of contact.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Windows 7/8/10 migration projects related to application packaging and testing.
  • They should be proficient in Admin Studio/Install shield and possess rich experience in VB/WMI scripting, Batch Scripting, PowerShell scripting & PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit.
  • A strong understanding of application testing and remediation techniques for producing Windows 7/8 compatible applications is essential, including knowledge of tools like ACT 5.6.
  • The successful candidate will also have expertise with VMware Workstation/Oracle Virtual Box to work on virtual builds and sound knowledge of creating/repackaging applications using various packaging tools like Wise or Admin Studio.
  • Additionally, they will need expertise in Application Virtualization Technologies, App-V 4.6, 5.0, and the ability to troubleshoot using various tools like FileMon/RegMon, PictureTaker etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain application packaging scripts
  • Test and remediate applications for Windows 7/8 compatibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in application packaging and deployment
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft technologies
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as VB, WMI, and PowerShell
  • Experience with application virtualization technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
