Job Title: Financial Modeling Specialist

As a skilled financial modeling specialist, you will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting complex financial data. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain accurate financial models that inform business decisions.

You will have the opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders, including senior management and external partners. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Analysis: You will be responsible for analyzing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. This will involve identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Fundamental Analysis: You will conduct thorough fundamental analysis of companies, focusing on financial statements, capital structure, and liquidity. You will also evaluate the impact of changing economic conditions and market dynamics on credit risk.
  • Credit Reports: You will prepare comprehensive credit reports summarizing your analysis. These reports will include detailed breakdowns of company financials, profitability, liquidity, industry dynamics, capital structure, and valuation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is required. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on financial modeling and analysis.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of debt and equity securities, as well as how news impacts prices of financial instruments.
  • Financial Analysis Skills: Excellent knowledge of accountancy and finance principles, with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and assess credit risk.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, modeling, and data visualization.
  • Automation and Coding: Familiarity with Python, SQL, and PowerBI, with the ability to automate tasks and create efficient solutions.
