**Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Project Manager to lead our Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) division in India. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and execution of GIS Application Development projects, utilizing Esri's technologies to deliver high-quality results and ensuring the profitability of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ADM division, focusing on business development, delivery, and profitability.
  • Work closely with the India product sales team to drive business growth.
  • Enable design and solution delivery tailored to each client's unique needs, with scope change management, estimation, planning, and implementation.
  • Ensure project execution meets defined KPI targets on metrics, delivery, and quality, adhering to CMMI standards.
  • Guide managers responsible for delivery to meet estimated time and cost targets, securing customer sign-off, and maintaining quality.
  • Lead the team to think innovatively and prioritize user experience.
  • Analyze market trends, develop strategies based on a holistic understanding of organizational and external factors, and drive business growth and superior customer experience.
  • Identify potential organizational risks, develop mitigation plans, and advise project and program teams on effective risk management strategies.
  • Manage people and performance, providing mentoring, coaching, career planning, training needs identification, feedback, and motivation.
  • Interact with customers to guide and support development work, gather feedback, and develop strategies to improve delivery and customer perception.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with various Geo-Spatial Products, with a good understanding of the Esri Product portfolio.
  • Expertise in GIS-based solutions development across domains like Land, Telecom, Urban, Water, Power, etc.
  • Ability to influence senior management, stakeholders, and possess a positive attitude.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to work with figures and large data sets.
  • High Emotional Intelligence and excellent People Management Skills, with a pleasing personality and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems, derive solutions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Learning Agility and the capacity to function effectively in a diverse environment, ensuring fairness, equity, and full participation of all members.
  • Expertise in managing customer perceptions and emotions to create a positive experience.
  • Non-Negotiable skills: leading GIS project delivery to government customers in India, knowledge of commercial sector requirements, and expertise in project delivery management.
