Lead Software Engineer

About the Job :

  • This role involves working as a lead on software engineering projects with expertise in Magento 1.x and Magento 2.x development.
  • Responsibilities include leading front-end and back-end teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • The ideal candidate should have strong experience in PHP, MySQL, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Apart from technical skills, the selected candidate will need to possess excellent communication and leadership skills to manage assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Additionally, the ability to work on shifts from 14:00 to 23:00 hours is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Commerce Cloud features and familiarity with Elasticsearch, Redis, Varnish, and RabbitMQ are also required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certifications like Magento 2 Certified Developer and Adobe Certified Professional - Magento Commerce Developer are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products within given timelines.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless product launches.
  • Ensure code quality and maintain a clean and organized codebase.
  • Develop and implement effective debugging strategies.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Design and implement efficient data structures and algorithms.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements :

  • 5+ years of experience in software development with expertise in Magento 1.x and Magento 2.x.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento theme customization, module development, and extension integration.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of Linux command-line for deployments.
  • Magento 2 Certified Developer certification and Adobe Certified Professional - Magento Commerce Developer certification are highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
