Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our documentation department, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive installation guides and operation manuals for our products.

  • You will study product samples and collaborate with product designers and developers to ensure that our documentation meets the highest standards.
  • You will provide feedback on products to enhance usability and reduce instructional requirements.
  • You will organize and write supporting documents for products, ensuring consistency across platforms and media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Release documents to our document management system for inclusion in product packaging.
  • Develop visual aids such as photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts to improve user understanding.
  • Standardize content across various platforms and media.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers.
  • Revise documents as new issues arise, adhering to our brand and style guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least 5 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Strong preference for candidates with an understanding of electrical basics and solar industry experience.
  • Expertise in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Oxygen XML.
  • SharePoint development and usage skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience publishing to multiple platforms, including print and web.
  • Project management skills, tool familiarity, and extensive software skills are required.
  • Ability to work effectively with vendors/contractors and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
