Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-grade database environments.

  • Install, configure, and maintain MySQL database servers on-premise and cloud.
  • Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Manage backup, restore, replication, and failover procedures to ensure high availability.
  • Administer user access, roles, and security policies to maintain compliance.
  • Implement partitioning, clustering, and sharding strategies for large datasets.
  • Perform capacity planning, patching, and version upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and resolve database-related issues as per defined SLAs.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support deployments and DB changes.
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting, Shell, Python, or Ansible.
  • Document database standards, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in MySQL 5.7, 8.0 administration, replication, clustering, Galera, and backups.
  • Solid knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools (mysqldump, Percona XtraBackup, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cloud-hosted MySQL (AWS RDS, Aurora, GCP CloudSQL, Azure Database for MySQL).
  • Hands-on experience with HA/DR setup, replication, clustering, failover.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Percona Monitoring, CloudWatch).
  • Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python for automation.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
