RH(a+d) is a renowned design studio that pushes the boundaries of materiality, form, and craftsmanship. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Development Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, prototyping, and developing custom-designed furniture and products that embody the studio's vision. You will work closely with expert craftsmen, material specialists, and renowned designers to create unique products that balance functionality, aesthetics, and innovation.
This role requires a strong understanding of materials, finishes, joinery techniques, and fabrication methods. You should have hands-on experience with woodworking, metalworking, or digital fabrication (CNC, laser cutting, 3D printing).
You will also be responsible for:
- Assisting in developing unique, high-end furniture and product designs aligned with RH(a+d)'s design philosophy.
- Researching and incorporating sustainable materials, local craftsmanship, and innovative fabrication techniques into product development.
- Creating detailed sketches, digital models, and technical drawings for production.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in furniture/product design, prototyping, and manufacturing.
- Expertise in 3D modeling and rendering software (Rhino, SolidWorks, Grasshopper, KeyShot, or V-Ray).
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD/ Vectorworks) for technical drawings.
