We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Node.js Developer to join our engineering team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js (Express.js, NestJS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple backend projects from concept to deployment, ensuring robustness, scalability, and timely delivery.
- Owning architecture design decisions and influencing platform-level strategies.
- Mentoring and onboarding junior engineers, conducting design and code reviews.
- Designing and implementing scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js (Express.js, NestJS).
- Developing and maintaining high-availability, low-latency systems with performance tuning and concurrency handling.
- Writing unit/integration tests and enforcing best practices in coding, CI/CD, and release management.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, DevOps, Product, Analysts) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Translating technical requirements into clear specifications in partnership with customers and stakeholders.
- Providing 3rd-level support for complex production issues, ensuring system uptime.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of backend engineering experience, including leading engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js/NestJS, RESTful APIs, and microservice architectures.
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, async programming, and event-driven systems.
- Strong grasp of multi-threading, concurrency models, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai).
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
