Senior Legal Advisor

This is a key leadership role that requires strategic thinking and exceptional legal expertise. As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the company's legal strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the company's legal strategy, driving growth and success through effective governance and compliance.
  • Oversee corporate governance matters, providing expert advice on local and international legal standards.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including customer agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, licensing agreements, partnership agreements, and SaaS agreements.
  • Lead the legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, ensuring seamless integration and minimal risk.
  • Protect and enforce intellectual property rights, safeguarding the company's valuable assets.
  • E nsure the company's operations are fully compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized university.
  • Additional qualifications, such as LLM, Company Secretary, etc., would be highly desirable.
  • Minimum 8-13 years of experience in a corporate legal role, preferably with experience in technology or SaaS businesses.
  • Proven track record of leading corporate legal functions, including corporate governance, contract negotiation, M&A, and intellectual property.
  • Experience working in a leadership position, with a demonstrated ability to manage a legal team.

A strong background in corporate law, M&A, intellectual property law, and regulatory compliance is essential. Ability to interpret complex legal issues and provide practical legal advice to business leaders is also crucial. Strong communication skills, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced dynamic environment are also required.
