Virtuous Advisors & Resources Private Ltd (Virtuous Resources) seeks a highly skilled Chief Compliance Officer AIF to lead the compliance framework for our Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) business. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to SEBI (AIF) Regulations, 2012 and other applicable laws.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and be able to implement effective compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls. Key responsibilities include:

Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage all regulatory filings, correspondence, inspections, and interactions with SEBI and other regulators.
  • Draft, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies, SOPs, and internal controls for the AIF vertical.
  • Oversee investor onboarding processes, ensuring adherence to KYC, AML, and FATCA/CRS requirements.

Compliance Risk Management

  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments, internal audits, and monitoring programs.
  • Handle compliance reporting, breach investigations, and implementation of corrective measures.

Collaboration and Training

  • Deliver compliance training and regulatory updates to business teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with legal, investment, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 8-12 years of experience in compliance roles within asset management, financial services, or related sectors.
  • Mandatory experience in managing compliance for Category I, II, or III AIFs.
  • In-depth understanding of SEBI regulations and the regulatory landscape around alternative investments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
