Oracle Database Administrator Job Description">

The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as database administration, replication, troubleshooting, and database security to ensure the smooth functioning of the company's databases.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain robust database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in database concepts and administration. Experience with Oracle database administration is required, along with knowledge of Oracle database architecture and database security best practices. Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Technical Skills include:

  • Oracle Database: Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • SQL and PL/SQL: Proficiency in writing efficient and effective database code.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager: Experience with configuration, management, and monitoring of database environments.
