Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to lead our team in the broadband, telecom, and outside plant industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industry requirements and possess the expertise to properly price projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer provided Request for Proposals (RFPs) documents to gain a full understanding including but not limited to project scope, RFP response requirements, project specifications, project schedule, and customer objectives.

  • Develop comprehensive estimate and bid preparation templates specifically tailored to each RFP project.
  • Utilize expert-level proficiency in Excel to build cost breakdowns, high level schedules, risk registers, preliminary resource plans, and populate customer bid pricing forms pricing sheets for RFP submittals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary project information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to present estimates, address inquiries, and provide recommendations as needed.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing project data and documentation.
  • Preparing detailed estimates and bids for clients.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement estimating processes and procedures.
  • Providing support and guidance to junior team members.
