Position Title: Associate Finance

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Experience Required: 1-3+ Years (Professional Experience)

Location: Bengaluru

Type: Office-Based (6-Day Workweek)

  1. Accounting & Reporting:
  2. End-to-end accounting and process management, including Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Record (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C) for respective business units.
  3. Achieve accurate and timely monthly financial close.
  4. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and enforce company accounting policies, practices, and internal controls.
  5. Deliver accurate books of accounts, including Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
  6. Evaluate and reconcile financial accounts properly.
  7. Lead the financial close review with finance leadership, encompassing month-end review, finalization of P&L accounts, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
  8. Maintain a cadence with internal teams to identify aging and implement suitable actions.
  9. Oversee Interim Audits, Due Diligence, Statutory Audit, GST Audits, etc.
  10. Prepare the organization for statutory and tax audits, financial due diligence.
  11. Financial Planning & Analysis:
  12. Support specific business units with end-to-end finance operational support.
  13. Develop and manage financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability for the specified business unit.
  14. Provide timely, accurate, and insightful analysis of results to the business.
  15. Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  16. Function as the primary source of truth for numbers – Key Financial Metrics and Performance Drivers.
  17. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
  18. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations, to ensure alignment on financial goals and initiatives.
  19. BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS, BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL, INCLUDING INVESTORS, PARTNERS, AND VENDORS.
  20. Other Activities/Initiatives:
  21. Knowledge of Nodal Account, Payment Gateway Reconciliations, E-commerce transactions etc (preferable).

Key Skills, Qualifications, and Personalities:

  1. Desirable experience scaling up a startup through Series-A, Series-B funding efforts.
  2. Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive attitude and impeccable integrity.
  3. Proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, and reporting software.
  4. Candidates well-versed in dealing with auditors and consultants preferred.
  5. Advanced expertise in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel (Pivots, Lookup, Conditional Functions, Power BI, etc.).
  6. Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  7. High-energy, urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  8. Excellent analytical, reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
