Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to oversee the management of multiple Oracle and SQL Server databases across various locations in a distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective user support, including on-call duty, with a focus on prompt issue resolution.
  • Elevate complex problems to the corporate team and external partners as necessary, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Proactively identify and resolve database-related issues to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Conduct regular health checks on databases to prevent potential disruptions.
  • Develop new requirements based on input from implementation and support teams, driving business growth.
  • Create ad-hoc reports to inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Support the setup of QA and Dev environments, ensuring a smooth development lifecycle.
  • Maintain master data accuracy and reliability.
  • Monitor and administer report queues to optimize efficiency.
  • Manage Golden Gate replication routines to ensure data consistency.
  • Troubleshoot DB issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement targeted solutions to improve overall system performance.

Additional Tasks

  • Coordinate with vendors to secure new patches, requirements, and bug fixes within agreed-upon timelines.
  • Deliver technical training to peers and subordinates within the IT department, fostering knowledge sharing.
  • Test product patches and track issues until closure, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing for new features and functionalities, guaranteeing seamless integration.
  • Provide go-live support after deployment, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Maintain issue trackers and approval records, promoting transparency and accountability.

Requirements

  • Willingsness to travel across Medanta group of hospitals is essential.
  • Desirable: Healthcare knowledge and experience would be beneficial.
