Job Title: Embedded Systems Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished engineer with expertise in both hardware and firmware to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge embedded systems across various domains. This is a hands-on role combining hardware design, firmware development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prototype complex embedded hardware systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection for microcontrollers, sensors, and communication modules.
  • Develop Board Support Packages and oversee board bring-up for seamless integration of hardware and firmware components.
  • Collaborate closely with teams to ensure efficient interaction between hardware and software components.
  • Write high-quality code in Embedded C/C++ for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems to optimize system performance, power consumption, and latency.
  • Develop drivers for peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN) and troubleshoot firmware-hardware interactions at the register/assembly level.
  • Participate in system architecture design, including hardware-software trade-offs and safety-critical compliance to meet industry standards.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks and conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing to validate system functionality and performance.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and assembly programming for low-level hardware interaction.
  • Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures and their applications.
  • Mastery of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, Zigbee) for reliable data transfer.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting complex hardware-software issues.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on embedded systems design.
