Job Title: Data Migration Specialist

Role Description:

The Data Migration Expert is responsible for the overall end-to-end execution of data migration activities. This role involves close collaboration with local business and functional teams while acting as a bridge between the Global Data Migration Expert (GDME) and Data Migration Execution teams. The expert ensures that local requirements are accurately captured in conversion workbooks and effectively delivered during deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the deployment wave focal point for assigned data objects in scope for deployment or local data migration projects.
  • Collaborates with Business Data Owners (BDOs – Global, Regional, or Local), Functional Experts, ETL teams, legacy system teams, and deployment teams.
  • Drives migration activities for deployment projects.
  • Verifies data transformation tools and outputs for deployment wave projects.
  • Manages DMW load file preparation and performs initial verification.
  • Executes DVT scripts and supports defect/hypercare incident resolution for assigned data objects.
  • Coordinates defect resolution or escalates to GDMEs as needed.
  • Maintains compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GxP, CSV).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Possesses 10+ years of ERP project implementation experience, with strong data migration expertise.
  • Has proven experience in data migration execution across multi-country, multi-system environments.
  • Holds hands-on knowledge of SAP BODS.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of GxP and CSV requirements.
  • Is SAP Certified in at least one relevant functional area.
  • Exhibits strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Can work effectively in a global, matrix-based organization.
  • Displays strategic and hands-on mindset with experience running meetings, tracking progress, and managing issues.
  • Showcases excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Speaks fluent English (additional languages preferred).

Preferred Experience:

  • Has exposure to healthcare or regulated industry environments.
  • Prior experience leading data migration in large ERP programs.
