About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Director to join our team at Wells Fargo Bank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements to drive operational excellence and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop multiple business functional areas, focusing on implementing and delivering strategic initiatives to drive business growth and minimize risk.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, integrate, and control solutions that improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to drive long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies and business line objectives.
  • Manage the allocation of people and financial resources for business execution.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of business execution, implementation, or strategic planning experience, including management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Job Expectations
  • Develop and deliver on various operational business strategies, including risk and control programs, location strategy, financials, and efficiency.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology to identify opportunities requiring tech investment to drive excellence, efficiency, and improved experience.
  • Proficiency in data analytics to analyze internal operations metrics and data to help operations leaders with actionable operations insights, business insights on current state and future state, and identify areas of focus and strategic interventions.
  • Strategic perspective to review and provide industry intelligence on operations trends, transition trends, and other relevant topics.
  • Understanding and experience in risk management to monitor potential risk and regulatory trends to evaluate operations impact.
