Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our petabyte-scale lakehouse architectures using Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake. This individual will be responsible for developing and optimizing streaming pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar and Flink to process structured/unstructured data with low latency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement lakehouse architectures to unify data lakes and warehouses.
  • Develop scalable, high-throughput data applications and services using Java.
  • Use modern data warehouses and query engines like Trino, Spark for sub-second operations and analytics on real-time data.
  • Manage diverse data workloads across RDBMS systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and NoSQL systems like Cassandra, MongoDB.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across multi-tenant systems.
  • Stay ahead of trends in the data ecosystem to drive technical excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering with large-scale systems.
  • Expert proficiency in Java for data-intensive applications.
  • Hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures, stream processing and event streaming.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases.
  • Proven track record in optimizing query engines and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security frameworks and multi-tenant systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP and Azure and infrastructure-as-code like Terraform.
