Key Roles and Responsibilities for a Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced data architect to lead our team in building and optimizing data pipelines using cloud-based technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing modern data warehouse solutions, working with big data platforms, and leveraging data engineering tools like Airflow, PySpark, and Azure Databricks.

  • Developing Modern Data Warehouse solutions using Databricks and AWS/ Azure Stack
  • Providing forward-thinking solutions in data engineering and analytics space
  • Collaborating with DW/BI leads to understand new ETL pipeline development requirements
  • Triaging issues to find gaps in existing pipelines and fixing the issues
  • Working with business to understand reporting layer needs and developing data models to fulfill them
  • Helping junior team members resolve technical challenges
  • Driving technical discussions with client architects and team members
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and/or masters degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Total 6+ years of IT experience and 3+ years' experience in Data warehouse/ETL projects
  • Deep understanding of Star and Snowflake dimensional modelling
  • Strong knowledge of Data Management principles
  • Good understanding of Databricks Data & AI platform and Databricks Delta Lake Architecture
  • Hands-on experience in SQL, Python, and Spark (PySpark)
  • Experience in AWS/ Azure stack
  • Desirable to have ETL with batch and streaming (Kinesis)
