Job Role:

The Contract Negotiator will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft clear, concise, and enforceable agreements by preparing contracts, reviewing terms and conditions, and negotiating favorable terms while ensuring balanced risk allocation.
  • Proactively assess contractual, commercial, and execution risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain a risk register.
  • Maintain an organized contract repository, including approvals, correspondence, and variations, track milestones, obligations, guarantees, insurance, and payments, and ensure audit readiness and transparency in reporting.
  • Track key dates (NTP, completion, milestone payments, BG validity) and provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Monitor performance and obligations to minimize conflicts and manage claims preparation and defense (EOT, cost escalation, variations), engaging in negotiations, settlements, or formal dispute resolution to safeguard organizational interests.
Requirements:

A strong experience in contract negotiation, risk assessment, documentation management, and dispute resolution, attention to detail with strong commercial acumen are required for this role.
