Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled financial accountant to join our team at a leading provider of investment management and accounting solutions. As a key member of our financial accounting team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS) and performing various types of reconciliation between client general ledger data and market data providers.

The role is a great blend of product knowledge and technology usage, with opportunities to work on a variety of tasks including accounting of corporate actions, booking of trading and non-trading accruals, pricing of portfolios, computation and analysis of profit and loss.

You will work closely with clients and external sources to resolve break resolutions, and will be responsible for managing open and closed-ended hedge funds with reconciliation and integration of trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing open and closed-ended hedge funds with reconciliation and integration of trades.
  • Accounting and booking of corporate actions trades.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly GAV/NAV preparation, including booking of capital activities, market value reconciliation, computation of profit and loss for financial instruments, expense accounting, dividend accrual reconciliation, bond coupon accrual reconciliation, and confirming trial balance ledgers tie-up with various sub-ledgers.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant or MBA with 5+ years of experience.
  • In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Good understanding of financial/Capital Markets products, including Equity, Bonds, Futures, Options, FX Forwards.
  • Hands-on experience working with MS Excel and formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certification course in Financial Markets/Products.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting software.
  • Experience in Mutual Funds Accounting/Audit.
