About this role:-

We are seeking a skilled automation test engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in automated testing, with a strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts, aligning them with acceptance criteria and user stories.

Key responsibilities include executing automated tests, logging defects with detailed reproduction steps, and supporting defect triage.

Additional duties include creating and managing test data and environment configurations for automation, identifying and maintaining reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing, contributing to the automation regression suite, and maintaining automation assets.

A collaborative approach is essential, as you will work closely with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently.

Familiarity with automation best practices and participation in peer reviews are also required.

Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) preparation and maintenance are an important part of this role, as well as supporting manual testing efforts when required.

Tracking and reporting QA metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and productivity are key performance indicators.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in functional and automation testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Guidewire policy center projects.
  • Hands-on experience with type-script automation tools such as Playwright, Taiko or JavaScript based frameworks such as Cypress/ Selenium.
  • Experience in Programming based Test Automation toolset and should be part of Test Design for minimum of 2 Years.
  • Independently handle Test Code issue resolution, updates & Debugging.
  • Exposure to QA lifecycle tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred skills include exposure to unit testing and mobile testing, experience in improving test coverage and test strategy, familiarity with performance testing tools & CI/CD tools, and knowledge of API & API testing tools like Karate, Postman or RestAssured.
