Job Overview

The primary objective of this position is to oversee and lead the quality assurance team in handling various QA functions during transformer manufacturing. This includes establishing and promulgating quality policies and procedures to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.

This role involves reviewing contractual requirements related to product quality, planning necessary actions for compliance, and handling customer inspections and complaints. Additionally, it entails driving production teams through root cause analysis and preventing recurrence, maintaining and improving process-oriented QMS, and ensuring the availability of updated product/process documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead quality assurance team in handling various QA functions during transformer manufacturing
  • Establish and promote quality policies and procedures to meet/exceed customer requirements and expectations
  • Review contractual requirements related to product quality and plan necessary actions for compliance
  • Handle customer inspections and complaints
  • Drive production team with root cause analysis and prevent recurrence
  • Maintain and improve process-oriented QMS
  • C coordinate with functional heads/staff to identify and address areas for improvement
  • Ensure availability of updated product/process documentation
  • Attend internal/external audits
  • Provide relevant training to staff
  • Define SOPs and prepare procedures
  • Prepare, circulate, and present MIS reports
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of design and manufacturing processes of transformers
  • Awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 management systems and internal auditor for any two of these standards
  • Failure analysis techniques and preparation of RCA reports
  • Through knowledge of quality control tools
  • Ability to interpret complicated data, drawings, and QAPs
  • Ability to make difficult decisions in the best interest of the company
  • Exposure to critical and overseas customer inspections
  • Personal management skills
  • Solid knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Computer skills, especially in MS Office
  • Quality certifications (CQM and Six Sigma – Black Belt) preferred
  • Work experience with ERP
