Database Administrator Role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and migrate secure databases on cloud and on-premises platforms. The primary goal of this role is to provide an always available, secure database tier with high performance, for both backend data and frontend application accessibility for end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and migrate secure databases on cloud and on-premises platforms
  • Develop, implement, and enforce database security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions with other systems
  • Optimize database performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in database administration with a strong focus on security
  • Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with cloud-based databases such as Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL, and Azure Database Services
  • Strong knowledge of database security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
