Our organization seeks a professional to fill a role within the Corporate Risk Management team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities of the position include identifying, assessing, and monitoring strategic risks related to the group's domestic and international operations.

Additionally, the candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders and business units to develop insights that support long-term decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough financial and qualitative analysis of counterparties, including private/public sector companies (domestic and international).
  2. Evaluate the creditworthiness of State Governments and assess associated risks using budgetary data and fiscal indicators.
  3. Perform sovereign risk assessments through macroeconomic, geopolitical, and financial data of various countries.
  4. Develop and maintain robust financial models to assess the viability and risk profiles of counterparties and contracts.
  5. Monitor emerging strategic risks such as shifts in global and domestic business models, disruptive technologies, and decarbonization trends.
  6. Identify potential business risks arising from sectoral or regulatory changes and collaborate with business units to assess implications on our organization's operations and strategy.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Education: Engineering + MBA (Finance/Strategy), Science Graduate + MBA, or Engineering + CFA
  • Technical Skills: solid understanding of finance, accounting, and macroeconomics; proficiency in MS PowerPoint for reporting and stakeholder communication; knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and tools
  • Domain Knowledge: understanding of infrastructure, EPC, and capital-intensive industries is preferred; awareness of global economic indicators and their relevance to emerging markets and project risk
  • Desired Attributes: strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, proactive attitude, effective communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate risk management, credit/financial analysis, consulting, or strategy roles; exposure to large-scale projects or infrastructure sectors would be advantageous
