Job Title: Chief Operating Officer
About This Role
The Chief Operating Officer is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. In this strategic role, you will drive business growth, improve efficiency, and maintain high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term operational strategies that align with business plans and goals.
- Ensure the smooth performance of the unit with high safety standards in place.
- Achieve continual improvement in unit performance while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Lead and direct manpower to achieve organizational objectives.
- Develop operational plans that incorporate goals and objectives aligned with the strategic direction of the organization.
- Increase terminal throughput, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Guide and review maintenance plans and annual budgets covering electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and civil aspects to ensure they support plant objectives.
- Ensure completion of projects on time and within budget.
- Guide and review marketing, logistics, and material procurement plans to ensure alignment with organizational goals through effective cascading of the business plan.
- Continually invest in building people capabilities and competencies across all functions and disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory norms and standards.
- Establish, support implementation, monitor, and improve Health, Safety, Environment, and Fire (HSEF) systems across the plant to mitigate risk and achieve sustainable operation with best-in-class HSEF performance.
- Ensure effective fund management and controls on budget and inventory.
- Maintain a harmonious work environment in the unit.
