About the Role:

  • We are looking for a skilled Data Engineering Project Manager to lead and deliver projects in data engineering and analytics.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and deliver technical projects on time, within scope, and with resources allocated effectively.
  • Foster a strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and analytics workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and success metrics.
  • Evaluate familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Track project progress using tools like Jira, Confluence, and report status to stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve project blockers and dependencies proactively.
  • Ensure all technical documentation is current and aligned with project goals.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage third-party vendors or external contractors when applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management within a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall).
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
