About the Job

This role involves designing and implementing electrical systems for various applications, including rail battery and railway markets. The successful candidate will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects meet the required standards and specifications.


Responsibilities
  1. Decompose customer requirements related to electrical subject matter for each project.
  2. Support bids, proposals, bid responses, and estimating work packages for electrical activities.
  3. Perform electrical sizing for circuit breakers, fuses, rotary switches, cabling, diodes, contactors, relays, and selection of electrotechnical parts, adhering to IEC and NF EN standards (e.g., NF EN 50343).
  4. Validate designs and functions at supplier locations and support supplier assembly processes.
  5. Develop and manage documents, procedures, BOMs, and dwgs through ECP and ECR.
  6. Create electrical schematics using Creo Schematics, following internal rules.
  7. Generate harness files (BOMs, wiring manufacturing) according to internal guidelines.
  8. Publish justification documents for electrotechnical components.
  9. Analyze insulation using NF EN 50124 standards.
  10. Develop 3D harnesses on 3D batteries with Creo and link them to electrical schematics.
  11. Create 2D harnesses linked with 3D models.
  12. Manage door requirement records.
  13. Track activities with Project (planning).
  14. Define architecture, write component specifications, perform insulation analysis, and design electrical circuits and select electrotechnical components, such as circuit breakers, fuses, sizing, short-circuit protection calculations, signal connectors, EMC classes, and design considerations.
  15. Demonstrate experience in DC applications.
  16. Design and create schematics and layouts using Creo Schematics.
  17. Select electrical parts and qualify local sourcing with testing, interacting with suppliers.
  18. Utilize Creo software for electrical works (SCH and cabling mandatory).
  19. Maintain ECN, ECR, and SRD knowledge.
  20. Have exposure to rail battery and rail standards.
  21. Carefully consider safety aspects in electrical designs and applications.
  22. Hold knowledge of Li Battery systems as an added advantage.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the rail industry.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical systems, including circuit analysis, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC and NF EN standards (e.g., NF EN 50343).
  • Familiarity with Creo Schematics and Creo software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English language.
